Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

• A proven track record in information security operations, engineering, architecture, or security consulting.
• In-depth understanding of on-chain ecosystems, encompassing L1 and L2 networks, tokens, DeFi protocols, and DAOs.
• Proficiency in security fundamentals and knowledge of cybersecurity and compliance frameworks, notably NIST CSF and others.
• A minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or Security Engineer, including exposure to distributed systems and scalability.
• Profound expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript along with over 3 years of experience in Solidity,
• At least 2 years of experience in Blockchain Security, with a focus on leading onchain products.
• Demonstrated mastery of the security aspects of a major blockchain protocol, preferably Ethereum.
• Exceptional communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A balanced approach to long-term strategic thinking and short-term tactical planning.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Senior Security Engineer, you’ll be a pivotal member of our team, tasked with:

• Devising on-chain security strategies and conducting security assessments and threat modeling for diverse blockchain protocols and smart contracts.
• Establishing and managing a global security compliance program, adhering to NIST CSF guidelines.
• Spearheading the SDLC to foster secure Web3 application development and infrastructure deployment.
• Strengthening application and infrastructure vulnerability management programs, engaging in threat hunting, and facilitating penetration testing.
• Expanding application security by creating automated security testing through tools like SAST, DAST, and code reviews.
• Leading the assessment of high-risk vendor integrations through threat modeling.
• Configuring and overseeing security monitoring tools, including SIEM and EDR, to safeguard servers, endpoints, and data.
• Identifying top on-chain security risks and formulating effective mitigation strategies.
• Assessing engineering and infrastructure projects for alignment with security controls and communicating identified risks.
• Advocating security best practices through education and awareness initiatives.
• Elevating the maturity of the security program by deploying and managing various security tools and processes.

Compensation

The expected yearly salary for this job in the US is between $135,610 and $205,420. 

The specific salary for this job will be determined based on the qualifications and experience of eligible candidates.
